Little Rudolph Lost His Bell

This is a little deer named Rudolph. Yeah, I don’t know why he lost his bell! All I know is he is so cute >.<. When I was a child, I often dreamed about him. I loved it when he and his friends gathered all together. Well, it was just my imagination though. Even if I’m not celebrating Christmas here but personally I love the decoration themes. They’re so beautiful, that’s why I’ve added the moving snowflakes here :D.

This picture was captured by me in my bedroom. Actually, this doll is my sister’s. I was just trying my new camera. Hell yeah, I’ve finally got it, thanks to my Dad and Mom. I didn’t mean to be so full of myself, but you know it makes me excited! I remembered the first camera I had when it was still using films.

Hmm… this year is fantastic! I and my friend already committed doing a project. I hope all of our wishes come true :) , happy end year pals!

MARS

MARS, written by Furumi Soryo, is the most intriguing story that I’ve ever read. Do you remember TV serial titled MARS made by Taiwan which was staring Vic Zhou and Barbie Hsu? Yes, that was adapted from the Manga (Japanese comic). The story really touched my heart. I’ve seen the serial long time ago. It was aired in Indosiar TV station. I was in my second year of junior high school back then, it’s around 2005. In the Manga the boy name is Rei and the girl is Kira. I think the story was a little bit different between the serial and the comic.

I made this picture for an art assignment. Even though I didn’t draw the picture by my own –I took it from the web, I really impressed when I’m done this task. It was so hard to cut some parts of the picture to make a lining shape of it. I forgot what this style called, but I made this by turning the picture mode into stamp, on Adobe Photoshop.

When I saw this picture, I remember why I heart art so much. At that time I was addicted into comic. I almost saved all my money to buy some comics, then one time I couldn’t buy any refreshment at my school. But now, I rarely read that kind of book. Mostly I spend my time for reading a novel. Oh, how I miss that time, the time when I was so innocent and quiet. Just let’s see then which one I choose: drawing or writing or… maybe both?

One of My Adorable Boys

for you who lives really far away from my place of sleeping...

the way we met was so funny

and i can't forget your blue-sea eyes

if this was coincidence then why you are always shows up at 5 P.M?

that time, when i've finished siesta-ing

i pray to God so that i could see you're playing your turn-table again

with this very heart i swear that i fell in love again

then, i was grateful that you are using the picture - which i made for you - in your profile

call me insane, but i'll never lie

May trough November...

all this time i've been dying to reach you

you were asking me whether i like you or not

i said no... deep in my heart i want to scream: not as a regular friend! lol

i screwed it up

you see that i'm still that type of girl... the daddy's little girl one

to make it even worst, i've never been added yours

i'm so sorry but i love you... i'll just gonna remember you in my veins

The Scarlet Letter 'F'

This is my picture that I drew after reading The Scarlet Letter novel. You know, sometimes I draw something without knowing the purposes. You can call me a free drawing girl -the same terminology when you called 'a free writing person'. My hand moved so fast when I'm sketching random pictures. If you asking what genre I'm in, actually I don't know exactly what my style is.
Well, I want to tell you why this blog named Scarlet Letter 'F'. The book that I mentioned earlier is one of my favorite books. The Author is Nathaniel Hawthorn. It's absolutely an old story. It was published around 1800's. The story was about a woman named Hester Prynne who had a girl called Pearl. Pearl was born from an affair between Hester and her secret lover. Because of that affair, Hester was being punished at the prison for seven years. Hester wore a scarlet capitalized letter 'A' near her breast. The letter was glittery embroidered so that some people might think that was an accessory. Why she used the letter 'A'? Most people assumed that letter was for adultery and affair, but some might say it's for an Angel. Even though she'd done a big sin like that, it didn't mean that Hester was a whore. She had an angel face and neat behavior. She loved to help people around her. People often saw something on one side, nevertheless the truth will always be blurred.
So, why did I create Scarlet Letter 'F' blog? In my point of view, everyone has many sides that each of them can not be shown in the real life. Yes, you may call it an alter ego of me. Then the letter 'F' is actually an abbreviation for my main name (Fathimah), just like the letter 'A' you may refer the letter 'F' for everything that you think it's suitable. Well, I hope you like my blog :).

*warning: F is not for F***k, okay? lol.

INTERVIEWING NATIVE SPEAKER

On Wednesday, 27th October 2010, we went to PVJ (Paris Van Java) mall to search some foreigners who can speak English fluently. We had been searching for the native speakers but none came. Finally, we found a man in front of the security center at PVJ. He wore a black T-shirt. His name is Mohammed. He comes from Sudan but has been living in Australia for long time, now he works as an ambassador in Malaysia.

This was the conversation we had with Mohammed...

Question (Q) : Is this the first time you visit Indonesia?

Answer (A) : Yeah, I’ve never been here before.

Q : Have you visit Jakarta?

A : No. I just visit Bandung.

Q : How come you know about Bandung?

A : From friends and the internet.

Q : What did the internet say about Bandung?

A : It’s a center of fashion in Indonesia and has a lot of factory outlets. It’s also famous for food.

Q : How long you’ve been in Bandung?

A : One day.

Q : So, you just came here today?

A : No. Actually, I was transited in Jakarta yesterday.

Q : Do you come here by yourself?

A : Yeah, I come here all by myself.

Q : Wow that’s cool. You know, Bandung is busy with traffic jam every day. Is that making you surprised?

A : Honestly, I’ve got dizzy too to see how the traffic jam last for long hours.

Q : Where did you stay in Bandung?

A : At Novotel Hotel (near Wastukencana Street).

Q : What kind of job are you doing now?

A : I work for the estate government in Malaysia as an ambassador.

Q : How long you plan to spend your time in Bandung?

A : For just another one day.

Q : After tomorrow you’ll go back to Malaysia or Australia?

A : I’ll go back to Malaysia, because I still have a lot of work to do.

Q : What do you like about Bandung?

A : So far I like the factory outlet best.

Q : Did you get some difficulties in Bandung?

A : Yes, I did. I couldn’t understand the Indonesian language clearly.

Q : So, how about the people?

A : Well, so far the people were so nice. I didn’t have any problems with them.

Q : Have you visit another places beside factory outlet?

A : No, but I plan to look for a good place for dinner.

Q : What’s your origin hometown?

A : Actually, my parents come from Sudan. I was born in there. After I turned 8 years old I moved on to Australia.

Q : Do you live with your family, in Australia?

A : No. I live alone there because my parents passed away.

Q : Oh, sorry to hear that... (An old man suddenly came with a lot of bottles of oil. He stepped away in front of us and we had to move a little bit, so that none get hit by the bottles.) Excuse me, can you move a little closer? (We both moved to a safety place.)

A : Oh, sure!

Q : What you didn’t like about Bandung?

A : There’s nothing that I didn’t like so far. I like the people and I love the fashion style.

Q : Nice to hear that. Have you ever visit another city in Indonesia?

A : No, I haven’t.

Q : Do you know Bali?

A : Yes, I’ve heard about Bali. But I’ve never visited it. Bali is more commercial city but maybe I’ll visit it next time because I like Indonesian culture. And I plan to visit Jogja too.

Q : What’s your hobby?

A : Play basketballl, football, and other sport activities. Oh, I like shopping too.

(After that we separated. Mohammed took a taxi to Novotel. We went home happily, still amazed that we could manage to get a foreigner for the interview.)

Well, it was nice to meet a foreigner although he didn’t have much time in Indonesia. But we were very glad because he gave us his e-mail, so that we could stay in touch with him.
